RE: Help with fixes
Yip! Time goes to fast when your haveing fun. Maybe all pup's are not the same under the bed areas, our's has one bungie cord on each end, the bungies just hook into a gromet to hold the canvas on, so I maybe lucky as all I have to replace are those bungie cords and they come in all sizes. If I had a storage like you have on the front and I have seen them on different pups, I would probably be safe then sorry, I would order the lid from the manufacture, or check with camping worl or other RV suppliers to get the least $$ for one. Would have to see it to know how long & wide the area is that leaks, it probably could be fixed with sylacone but that does wear off after time. Good Luck
RE: Water Leak - Help!
I've tried those pressure regulators and never had much luck with them, so we never turn the water on full force that we hook up to at the camp site, don't need that much pressure and it solved our leaking problems. I replace all my hook up items with what was installed on the rig in the first place, saves time and expense. May need to replace the hook up unit on the rig itself should have screws to remove it, take it with you to get the exact fitting for it, one of mine didn't have a washer in it, really leaked out till I put a washer in it solved that, some things can be very simple even tho they look to be a real problem..Good Luck
RE: Awning
Well are you talking about the plastic strip that slides thru the bag itself? Mine has a plastic strip that slides thru the bag and that slides thru the long bracket thats attached to the trailer. I had one bag awning that was very old and the bag was tearing and the plastic strip was disinigrating, sewed the bag and I bought some nylon rope, threaded it thru the bag slot and it worked just fine, slipped right in the slot on the trailer, put a screw into the rope/trailer to hold it on. Nothing like experimenting when $$ are few. Good Luck
RE: Portable AC
Well for years we have just bought the window air cond. We now have a 5050BTU and it works great, no cold air blowing on our food when eating or sleeping. Bought a GE cool air comes out the front and can be directed to either side. I set it outside up to back screened window, unzip both screen & canvas and sit it on our small alum. ladder with a board under it, I made a cover to go all around it and velcro it right to the canvas, 100 outside,it cools inside right down and we run it on low fan and about a 5 or 6 on dial and best part I never paid over 45 bucks for it. Haul my ladder in truck and AC slides in the door on our Palomino, winter time I'll just store it in our shed. We belong to TT/Naco so we plug right into the electrical box at the site. Good Luck
RE: Air Conditioner..SMALL
Thanks everyone for your sugestions since I posted this, I bought a window GE 5050 BTU and it works great. I put my aluminum ladder at the outside of the back bed, screen & canvas unzips, set the AC on a board ontop of ladder, made me a curtain out of some fiberglass awning scraps I had, velcroed it to the tent canvas and my curtain. Works sooo great and only run it on low fan, plenty COOL!!..Thanks again, I'll try to figure out how to delete my post now..Happy Camping..
Air Conditioner..SMALL
I just bought a 1989 Palomino TXL and I want to put a small air conditioner in the window by my table, however I'm haveing a hard time finding a small one. I need one that is 10 & 1/4 inches high and that can be in the front half of the unit, back half can be higher, I can put it in the window from the out side in, have checked every where and I know I've seen small units before but when I didn't have a fold a wall trailer. I bought a portable unit that you put 2 gal. of water in the back of it, but all we got was hot air so took it back, had hopes that would of worked but not good.. Thank you in advance for any suggestions. Luckylady
RE: Need help with cassette toilet
Check out the safety sensor, also on mine there are wires running in the storage area under the front bed, could be a wire has come loose and will cause pump not to work. Good Luck!
